Discover the new era of watching content safely. With Seyret Extension, enjoy the safe content in popular streaming platforms without any appropriate scenes.
Seyret Extension is a Chrome extension that filters content in various video streaming platforms to ensure the safe viewing experience of the viewers. Seyret Extension skips the portions of content that has been labeled as inappropriate by our editors or our new generation AI model.
Seyret Extension has 3 main methods to filter a content - each working for one component of it: visual portion (scene), sound and subtitles.
Seyret Extension carefully analyses the subtitle content and detects inappropriate words and patterns with their approximate timings and durations in a scene. We have a comprehensive list of slang words and idioms, some produced by our AI model and some gathered from literature.
The detected words/patterns and durations are then used to censor the subtitle by replacing the target text values with `*`. At the same time, the sound is also temporarily muted at the exact duration, preventing user from being verbally exposed to the content.
Seyret Extension employs a team of experienced editors to meticulously review and classify scenes within video content. This process is designed to enhance user safety and provide a more enjoyable viewing experience.
Our team of editors carefully watches and analyzes video content to classify different scenes. This classification system helps identify scenes that may include explicit content, violence, or other sensitive material.
Once a scene is classified as potentially inappropriate, Seyret Extension offers users the option to skip over it entirely. This ensures that viewers are not exposed to content they may find uncomfortable or offensive.
You have couple of instruments in Seyret Extension to filter content.
There are 4 main categories of content to filter. You are able to match each scene with these 4 categories.
Nudity refers to the depiction or display of the human body without clothing, exposing private body parts.

• A medical educational video demonstrating a surgical procedure.
• An informative video about naturist lifestyle, focusing on body positivity.
Sexuality encompasses themes and content related to sexual behavior, relationships, or orientation, including explicit sexual acts or discussions.

• An educational video addressing LGBTQ+ topics and issues.
Content involving drugs relates to the use, abuse, or discussion of controlled substances, including their effects, consumption, or production.

Filtering consist of activating the related category button right before the scene starts and deactivating after ends. When you press a category button, Seyret Extension will create a starting point for the labeling (which you can see as yellow bar) and the category icon will turn to '◼' symbol.
Right after the related scene ends, you can press the same category button again to terminate the current labeling process. The button will turn back to '▶' symbol and the labeling will be saved.
You are able to jump through the scenes that you have just labeled. Pressing previous and next buttons will make it happen quickly.
You are able to leave note for the media with the editor's note button. When you press this button there will be a popup appearing for you to leave your message. In that way, users watching that media will be aware of your note.
Editor's note may include any kind of information you wish to make users/editors known. It can be a specific scene that you'd like to warn people about, or your personal note that somehow identifies you.
While you are on a scene, you are able to delete that scene by pressing the delete button. This process is irreversible.
We value our user's safety. Therefore, there are various steps that includes than one individuals before making a content publicly available to all users.
This step includes the time interval between being first explored and an editor starts filtering.
When a user views a media on a streaming platform and that media has not been explored by someone else, it goes to the 'Pending' list. The media in this list are not display on Seyret.com since it first needs the approval of the Seyret team. Approval may take from a couple of days to a week. During this time, editors can still filter the media from streaming platforms and even complete the filtering.
This stage indicates that the media has been explored and started filtering by an editor. While the editor keeps filtering the media it is not possible for another editor to filter the same media.
If we can't get any activity from the editor for 2 weeks during this stage, the media will be unassigned from that editor and all of the progress will be removed, taking it to the 'Pending' stage and making available to all editors again.
The media is labeled as 'Filtered' after the editor click on 'Filtrelemeyi Tamamla' on Seyret Extension. After completing, the media is ready for another editor to validate the labels. At this stage, any other editor is able to review the scenes and validate the media.
With 2-stage filtering-validation process, we make 2 different individuals to work on a media so we make sure that the media is double-checked and take extra step to guarantee the safety of the users.
This stage indicates the media has been reviewed and validated by an editor. There isn't any action that the editor should take at this stage.
This is the stage where the media is approved by the Seyret team. It means it is available to be consumed by the users.
